Virtually visit the largest aquarium in the UK, discover our awesome animals and explore how innovation and behaviour change can protect them for the future.
Join us online on Tuesday 7th October, for our annual virtual STEMFest event! This event is completely FREE and can be joined by any class or home-educated students around the world!
This year’s session, running from 09:30–10:30 and designed for ages 9–14 (Upper KS2 and KS3), will focus on the theme Ocean Friendly Homes, exploring carbon dioxide and climate change. In this fun, optimistic and inspiring event we’ll tackle two important questions: How does what happens within our homes affect the Ocean – and how can we have a positive impact?

During your engaging and interactive 1-hour virtual tour, we’ll visit some of the main exhibit spaces here at the National Marine Aquarium, and introduce you to some of our favourite animals, including our sharks!
Along the way, we’ll explore our key questions, including practical demonstrations that will help participants understand the causes of climate change, the impact decisions made in our homes have on the Ocean, and how we can all have a positive impact.
Concluding with an optimistic message, we’ll reduce eco anxiety and equip young people with the knowledge and confidence to really #ThinkOcean at home.
