Does your school want to experience Science Week with a bang?

British Science Week 2025 is just around the corner, from 10th-14th March, and we’re diving deep into the theme of ‘Change and Adapt’ with a focus on the Physical and Chemical Changes in the Ocean. Join us in celebrating the dynamic and ever-changing nature of the Ocean, where students can learn how biodiversity has adapted to shifting conditions over time.

We have used the theme of “Change & Adapt” to inspire our brand-new show! All groups who join us for a full interactive day at the National Marine Aquarium during British Science Week can join our end of day show completely for FREE

Can’t come to us? We can deliver the show at your school! The show is just £100 for the whole school and can be paired with one of our incredible workshops to give your students a truly unforgettable day! (petrol contributions may be required depending on the location of your school).”

The Change & Adapt Show is suitable for the whole school! It will:

  • Include National Curriculum links
  • Showcase big, exciting experiments
  • Have audience participation
  • Run for 30 minutes

Too far away? No matter where you’re based, everyone can download a set of FREE activity plans, packed with simple yet engaging classroom practicals and demonstrations about the physical and chemical properties of the Ocean. Each plan is designed to help teachers lead hands-on activities that illustrate concepts like:

  • Water density and salinity
  • Ice melt and sea level rise
  • Light refraction and pressure
  • Ocean currents
  • pH levels and their effect on marine life

These resources have been tailored to meet the working scientifically requirements of the National Curriculum, making them an ideal addition to your lesson plans in the lead up to or during British Science Week and as continued resources throughout the year.
