Our Ocean Discovery Rangers are expert Rockpool Guides, ready to lead you on thrilling Rockpool Safaris along the rocky shore. Combining science and storytelling, they will help you uncover the secrets of our local wildlife. The Plymouth coastline is brimming with wonders, and we can’t wait to take you on this incredible journey!
Event details:
- The session lasts 1.5 hours, but you are welcome to stay for as long or as little as you like!
- Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather conditions.
- Remember to bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
- All necessary equipment will be provided for the session. Please note that we do not use nets for rockpooling.
- Meet at the bottom of the steps at Mount Batten Beach at the start of your session. Restrooms are available at the nearby café.

Location:
Mount Batten Bay, a small sand and shingle beach, offers a picturesque, sheltered spot overlooking the Breakwater and Drake’s Island. Here, you can explore the abundant life hidden within the numerous rock pools scattered along the shore.
