As an Ocean charity, we count ourselves very lucky to be located in Plymouth, Britain’s Ocean City.
We are proud to be a Gateway Partner of the UK’s first national marine park, established on September 14, 2019. In 2024, the park’s future was elevated by £11.6 million from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, fueling a £22 million, five-year transformational programme to engage the city in its marine heritage.
Our partnership with Plymouth City Council and local communities helps forge a strong connection between people and the Ocean. Through education, research, and community initiatives, we are committed to inspiring pro-Ocean behaviour and enhancing Marine Citizenship.
