Conservation is all about people. Our team of marine biologists, educators, communicators, researchers, ecologists, oceanographers and divers are Ocean optimists. We work tirelessly to connect people to the Ocean and influence pro-Ocean behaviour.

Our core values are Positivity, Respect, Integrity, Diversity and Engagement and they flow through everything we do.  They support our mission to inspire a global movement to promote and encourage a wave of positive behaviour towards our Ocean. They also enhance our belief in Ocean optimism and the commitment we have to staff wellbeing.

The OCT also operates an Equality and Diversity Policy, and we are committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community – a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit. All applications will be judged solely on merit; however, we particularly welcome applications from groups currently underrepresented in the workforce.

If you feel that you have what it takes to join our shoal, then we’d welcome your application.

Successful applicants for vacancies with the OCT and NMA may be required to have a Disclosure and Barring Service check as a condition of employment.

Please be aware that our roles are very popular, and our HR team is very small, so if we haven’t contacted you within 28 days your application has unfortunately not been successful.  Sadly, we also find it tricky to respond to speculative enquiries.

Please contact us if you require any reasonable adjustments to assist with your application for a vacancy.

If you’d like to be a part of fantastic team, take a look at the current opportunities we have at our charity below.
