Through our OCT Learning Outreach programme, we’ve made many of our Ocean-linked activities available to teachers and educational event organisers at venues other than the National Marine Aquarium, including:
- Education institutions (e.g. Schools, Colleges & Universities)
- Outdoor environments (e.g. Beaches, estuaries & rocky shores
- Third party private hire venues (e.g. Scout halls, civic centres & libraries)
- Large scale events & conferences (e.g. national exhibitions, conferences & student events)
We understand that finding the right fit is important, when it comes to outsourcing your education, and that’s why we’ve put together a tried and tested learning outreach program that we’re confident can cater for any occasion – from single class workshops to multiday national events support.
Classroom Workshops (32 students / £150)
We have a selection of award winning, 90 minute, curriculum-linked workshops, which we’re able to deliver at indoor venues, including classrooms. Typically workshops include one or more of the following elements: Virtual reality, Artefact handling, Science experiments and/ or Arts & crafts.
Outdoor Workshops (32 students / £150)
Aligned with classroom workshops in duration and themes, this Learning outreach program is tailored for school trips to the coast. Each 90-minute session enhances the educational experience. Typically this includes: Beach clean & art and Rockpool safari’s & surveys.
STEM Shows & Assemblies (no limit / £100)
Our STEM shows are crowd-pleasers, perfect for large events or as an exciting conclusion to classroom workshops. These themed stage shows are highly recommended. Typically, they include: Mass audience participation, volunteer opportunities and STEM demonstrations.
Stand operation / mobile busking & event stewarding (price on enquiry)
From career fairs to STEM showcases, our team excels at captivating students with stories from the Aquarium and one-on-one interactions that offer a peek into the thrilling realm of Marine Science. Each event is customized to your needs, big or small, ensuring you and your students receive the best experience possible.
