Positive experiences of the Ocean form the foundation for lifelong support for Ocean conservation, often leading to long-term behaviour change.
It’s for this reason that we provide a variety of fun and immersive Ocean experiences to people of all ages and all walks of life.

Our charity is proud to own and manage the UK’s largest Aquarium. Run as a centre for Ocean excellence, the National Marine Aquarium, in Plymouth, Britain’s Ocean City, is essential to support our behaviour change and habitat restoration focus
Our programme is co-created with teachers and consists of sessions and workshops that support curriculum-based learning at all key stages and abilities.
We work extensively with local communities and youth groups nationwide to give them opportunities to see and experience blue spaces – whether that’s via innovative VR technology that brings the Ocean to them, wherever they are.
Youth and Community
In order to keep up with advancing educational technologies, we decided to make a virtual reality experience to enable us to bring the ocean to life in any classroom across the country.
Virtual Reality Ocean
From our base at the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, we are delighted to be partnering with local businessman, Morgan Phillips to support studies into seahorses, seagrass and the seal population that can be found in the waters surrounding Drake’s Island.
