Our award-winning Ocean Squad programme has been designed to give young people a meaningful connection to the Ocean.
Ocean Squad is all about fun experiences, inspirational learning and building new friendships with other likeminded young people. Providing opportunities for children and teens age 5-15 years, with an in-depth experience, exposing them to their local marine environment.
Participants will take part in a range of activities. From behind the scenes tours of the National Marine Aquarium, fun games and workshops, to dissections and preparing food for Aquarium animals. This will give them an idea of what it is like to work in the field of marine biology. As well as, snorkelling, virtual reality and rockpooling. This will allow them to experience the Ocean in different ways, and feel the positive mental health and wellbeing benefits.
