We are delighted that our Ocean Discovery Rangers are finalists in Visit England’s Tourism Superstar Awards! The award celebrates those in the industry who go the extra mile to ensure tourists in England have an amazing and unforgettable visitor experience.
Our passionate team of Ocean Discovery Rangers, based in our Aquarium, have made it to the finals due to their hard work and dedication ensuring visitors have a truly unique experience, and leave inspired by the immersive exhibits and our ground-breaking conservation work.
They have made it to the finals due to going above and beyond during the pandemic. They launched and delivered virtual Aquarium tours as a way for families to stay connected with each other, kids to still have fun birthday parties with their friends, and communities to come together and enjoy an exclusive behind the scenes tour. They also created a weekly schedule of Facebook lives, relaxation films, toddler craft sessions and live lessons! They reached a global audience, helping to build marine conservation knowledge, connect people and provide wellness benefits during a time that no one could leave their homes.
