The Ocean Conservation Trust is a global ocean conservation charity that exists to restore and protect the Ocean. Our work is centred around people and positive action through pro-ocean behaviour and habitat restoration. We’re committed to conserving the marine environment and inspiring others to do the same.

The Finance Assistant role is integral to day-to-day operations and so is an excellent opportunity for the right person with accounts office experience and a strong work ethic looking to work in a fast-paced environment. A key player in all aspects of our financial processes, you will be responsible for processing all supplier invoices and payments including staff expenses, as well as cash management within the building.

This is a role suited to a confident individual with a head for numbers, high attention to detail and excellent administration skills. The role will require you to work to deadlines, be confident in dealing with people and be a positive and supportive member of the organisation.

The nature of the organisation and the role would require the hours to be spread across all weekdays (Monday to Friday) but can be flexible therein.

If you have any questions or wish to have an informal chat about the role, please call Roberta Ince on 01752 717028.

To apply please send an email to robbie.ince@oceanconservationtrust.org with your CV and a personal statement outlining:

· how you meet the requirements of the job, with illustrations of your experience and

· your reasons for wanting to join the Ocean Conservation Trust and what you can bring to us

Applications that don’t include a personal statement will not be accepted.

We will review applications as they come in so may choose to close the application window early.

In line with current legislation all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. As part of the recruitment process you will be asked to provide documented evidence of eligibility. The OCT operates an Equality and Diversity Policy and is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community – a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit. All applications will be judged solely on merit, however we particularly welcome applications from groups currently under represented in the workforce.

Only candidates invited for interview will be contacted.
