We’re thrilled to be partnering with coral conservation charity, Seeking Survivors, to set up a coral research lab at our centre of Ocean excellence, the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth.
The facility aims to allow coral immunology scientists to conduct vital research that will help them to better understand how more resilient varieties of coral not only remain in a healthy state, but also return themselves to one after facing adverse conditions in our Ocean.
Our lab will be up and running in the coming months. Our work will be on display at the Aquarium, so if you wanted to find out more, why not pay us a visit?
How will this help the Ocean?
By identifying and studying those corals most likely to survive, it is hoped that the study will pave the way for the restoration of this important habitat in Costa Rica, and eventually, other coral reef habitats around the globe.
How you can help?
To continue this work, we, and more importantly, the Ocean, needs your support. Anything you are able to donate today will ensure vital research and habitat restoration can continue. As we know climate change is impacting our Ocean, your donation can ensure we allow Ocean habitats to thrive.
