World Oceans Day Day & World Ocean Day for Schools with the Ocean Conservation Trust at the National Marine Aquarium
World Oceans Day is an opportunity for people around the planet to experience, honour and celebrate the Ocean that connects us all!
This year’s happened on Monday 8th of June and we had a whole hosts of activities to enjoy. Take a look at all of the sessions that were live below.
Revisit our Ocean themed fun…
9:30am: Rockpool Ramble LIVE
Join us live from our fantastic Aquarium facility for a spot of rockpooling and exploring our Plymouth Sound zone. Ask questions and learn about the amazing animals that live in and around their local UK waters.
10:30am – Pollution Problems – Online Workshop
Join us as we explore the content of a whale’s stomach. What’s supposed to be there and what is not? Find out and discover what we can all do to think Ocean in our day to day lives.

11am – Shark and Turtle Feed Facebook Live
Join our Ocean Discovery Rangers at the top of the UK’s largest exhibit. You can watch how we feed all of our amazing animals, from our huge Sand Tiger sharks, to our cheeky Green Turtle.
1pm – Habit-Hats Creative Crafts
Join us as we explore the content of a whale’s stomach. What’s supposed to be there and what’s not? Find out and discover what we can all do to think Ocean in our day to day lives.
2pm – World Oceans Day Dive Show
Finish a day of celebration with us during our World Oceans Day Dive Show LIVE, chat to the divers above the exhibit and then, maybe even whilst they’re underwater…
