The Ocean Conservation Trust is proud to provide grants to innovative, grassroots Ocean conservation projects that share our ethos that people are at the centre of solutions.
We have worked in over 13 countries to help small scale projects that might not normally receive funding to get off the ground. We have supported a wide range of projects, including everything from art installations to snorkel trails. Each year, we select relevant conservation themes for the grants, but since day one, projects have always been required to connect participants with the Ocean.
Where we have worked
Current OCT Grants
Internationally, we are currently focusing our support on three innovative, technology-based projects – with larger grants than ever before – that are aligned with our mission to connect and engage people with the Ocean.
- Seafront Environmental
- Marine Megafauna Foundation
- Galapagos Bullhead Shark Project
Closer to home, for 2019 our UK based projects are:
- Community Monitoring and Filming of South Arran MPAs Seagrass Beds
- Tidal Surge Dance Workshops
